Our latest family adventure around Edmonton was a visit to the Ice Castle held at Hawrelak Park. Let me tell you this thing is amazing!
It’s like something from a movie, a cross between Frozen and Superman and trust me between myself and my kids all the references were made.
From the Elsa chairs,
To the kryptonite in the walls,
and everything in between, there is so much to see and do you won’t know where to begin. There are secret passages and ice slides for kids and adults alike to play on, even my 18-year-old daughter was crawling around with her brother and sister.
The colours alone glistening off the ice is truly breathtaking, like this one that looks like a frozen jellyfish.
I must say, this was a great night out with my kids. The weather was nice and seeing this great castle made from ice was spectacular.
I hope you can get out and see this winter wonderland with your family. Trust me you will not even know time is passing as you walk around.
I hope to get there for a second time this year as my wife had to miss out this time. She got hit with the flu 2 days ago and told me just to go but she can’t miss this so you might luck out and see me there a for second time, if you do please say hi.
