Board Game Review – Harry Potter Magical Beasts

Our family loves board games and my little girl challenged me to her latest game, Harry Potter Magical Beasts. This game is made by Pressman Toy who makes a lot of board games we love.

Right away this game screams fun for any Harry Potter fan, which my little girl sure is.

The game takes place inside and outside Hogwarts and you flip the boars when you land or roll passage. If you get the passage and the other player isn’t on one you can take one of their cards to try to get your beast set.

Now you have to make it through both inside and outside trying to pick up cards to match one of the beasts on your player card. Once you collect all 4 cards for a beast you win the game.

We played this twice today and split who won. Dad won the first game and my little girl won the second. It was really easy to play and so much fun. Trying to catch a beast while stopping the other person from doing so made for quite the daddy/daughter competition.

If you are looking for a great game to play with your kids, this is it. I can’t wait to try other games from Pressman Toy on our board game days.

  1. It looks like a great game. Fidget & Little Man are probably a little young for this, but it’s going on the wish list. Great review.
